Popobawa
Scares all whom see it’s horrible head,
Large and disproportionately off
What strange and funny creatures
That live for the night.
Coming alive, when no humans are in sight it makes one wonder
What else lurks within the night.

Kubwa popo kutoka Zanzibar,
Wote wanaoiona wanaogopa,
Ya kichwa chake kikubwa na macho makubwa,
Inatisha watu kurudi ndani ya nyumba zao,
Na inawafanya waogope kile usiku unashikilia.
